For overwhelming power, one need look no further than the Stihl line of Weed Trimmers. Although the Echo trimmers provide some punch, reaching up to a 28.1 cc engine, there are still three more levels of displacement in the Stihl line. Stihl offers powerheads in 24.1, 27.2, 28.4, 31.4, 36.3, and 37.7 cc. Of course, power does come with a price.

Background and Identification
Echo Weed Eater Manual Srm 225
The Echo SRM-225 Trimmer replaced the previous model, SRM-210 in 2007.
Echo is the leading manufacturer of gas string trimmers. It is equipped with a two-cycle 21.2 cc engine. It has a straight 59 inch shaft. The line diameter is .095 inches and cuts a 17 inch path. This model comes with a U Turn cutting head that greatly improved the ease of loading new line onto the trimmer compared to earlier models.
The Echo SRM-225 is easily identified. The model number is in plain view on the top of the orange plastic covering the engine. If that happens to be unreadable the model number can be found on the engine between the fuel tank and air filter.
